Colors
Colors appropriate for a Mediterranean summer dominated the catwalks. The blues paired with yellow or orange really made a splash, while blue and white made the marina look truly chic.

Other summery colors such as parrot green, yellow and orange brought a warm contrast to luscious berry hues. This 2012 trend is uncomplicated and very easy to wear. At the catwalks these colors were worn on knitwear and teamed with leather. A more daring approach to color is a fluorescent pink tailored suit.

Patterns or prints
Another Men’s Fashion Trend 2012 is check or summer tartan, a welcome alternative to the flashy and loud tropical prints. It comes in dazzling vivid colors, delicate neutral shades or in a monochromatic spectrum. It was seen on shirts, overcoats and in an abundance of suits.

The relax mood of summer and spring was best expressed in the soft tailoring trend for 2011. Jackets were unlined, shoulders were seamless, blazers were shorter, and trousers had dropped crotches.
