Picking cologne is like picking a good bouquet of flowers. You want something simple, yet elegant and something that compliments the other scents. But how do you do this?

Firstly, Axe and Tag are not cologne. They are body spray. Sometimes very smelly body spray. So what do you do differently in order to avoid these “faux colognes?”
1. Go to a department store and try the colognes. Try one at a time or two at a time on each wrist. Leave the cologne on all day unless you notice any irritation. Smell your wrist after ten minutes, an hour, three hours, and seven hours. This way you can see how well your potential cologne wears. For example, you may find that you smell amazing at first but the smell slowly gets more and more repulsive. In this case, you would need something different.
2. Not any reactions. If you have an allergic reaction, do your bet to get a better idea of what the chemical causing the reaction is. Then, avoid it. Also, keep in mind that certain mixes can cause the reaction instead of one individual factor.
3. Try many additional scents. You need to make sure that you get a really nice scent. The cologne doesn’t have to be expensive—but remember that one bottle of good cologne is worth more than twenty mediocre. Keep this in mind as you shop around for cologne.
With this in mind, have fun and good luck searching for your cologne!
